About mechanics.im
A engines and machines hub from REALLYBYTE, based in the Isle of Man.
mechanics.im is a how-machines-work hub from REALLYBYTE, based in the Isle of Man. It is for curious people of all ages, families and classrooms. Each kind of machine will get its own little site, built by hand and fact-checked against expert sources such as Encyclopaedia Britannica and NASA Glenn Research Center’s Beginner’s Guide to Aeronautics.
Our own drawings. Every diagram is drawn by us. We describe general ideas, not brand-name products.
Not official. mechanics.im is independent. It is not affiliated with, or endorsed by, Britannica, NASA or any other organisation it mentions.
The experiments we suggest use everyday things like rulers, pencils and coins. Real engines and machinery are for grown-ups and experts.
